The OVAL, a day camp nestled in the South Mountain Reservation in Maplewood, offers a touch of wilderness in Essex County. Surrounded by lush forests, rustic cabins, and an expansive field, The OVAL provides Girl Scouts with a blend of adventure, learning, and fun. Campers entering kindergarten through 10th grade explore activities like hiking, archery, and outdoor skills while building confidence, leadership, and friendships. With progressive programming that caters to all skill levels, The OVAL ensures every camper grows at their own pace. Join the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth this summer for rigorous, fresh, and fun in-person academic programs held at 10 locations in California, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. CTY's three-week day and residential programs for advanced learners in grades 2-12 offer 70+ courses in math, science, writing, and the humanities, plus social activities like talent shows and dances. CTY challenges students and connects them with an engaged community of learners from around the world. Residential students in grades 5-12 experience learning and living on a college campus. Before and after care is available for day students in grades 2-6 and lunch is included. Online programs in dynamic virtual classrooms are also enrolling.
